Indian Classical Dance with Manisha Natarajan ESAFestival18

Manisha Natarajan has been learning and performing Bharatanatyam (a South Indian classical dance form) for almost two decades. In the past five years, she has assisted her Guru, Sri Prakash Yadagudde by teaching classes for junior students in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in London.

Bharatanatyam is a beautiful and precise dance form which intricately combines pure physical movement with emotional performance to portray stories from Indian folklore and Hindu mythology.

During this 90-minute concert, Manisha will provide a history and explanation of Bharatanatyam. She will then guide the audience through a performance of a few short pieces of the traditional classical dance repertoire.

6.30pm on 12th August 2018

Investment - £5 (Concessions: £3), payable on the door
