HearMe! Finding your voice

When have you felt truly heard? And what does it mean to be really heard by another? Learning to feel comfortable with our voice creates healthy communication and relationships.

In this 2-day workshop you will:

  • Gain more comfort with expressing yourself and appreciating you own unique voice
  • Have time for personal reflection
  • Learn about the physiology of voice
  • Enjoy rest, play and learning
  • Healthy lunch and refreshments made from locally sourced produce.

The workshop is facilitated by Molly Sturges and Jane Shaw

Molly is a United States Artist Fellow in Music who has devoted many years to working creatively with communities in social healing. She serves as a Creative Director for the pilot of The Lullaby Project at University of Colorado's CREST neuroscience and mental health laboratory supporting women and children's health through the creation of collaborative lullabies with new mothers and babies.

Jane has worked in trauma recovery for many years, in clinical practice and teaching groups. Her enquiry is around the body's Social Engagement System exploring the neurobiology of why our voice is stronger in certain situations and less so in others. She works with groups to use their body awareness to strengthen presence and voice, always attuning to the rhythms of the natural world as a way of developing resilience and more empowered self expression.
