Integrating Psychology and Spirituality

Integrating Psychology and Spirituality

Bringing together two streams, Rudolf Steiner’s science of the spirit, Anthroposophy, and the work of the Transpersonal Psychologists, (Transpersonal Psychology is an umbrella term for those psychological perspectives that recognise the importance of the spiritual dimension of the human being), Carl Jung, Roberto Assagioli and others we explore a new holistic paradigm of human development.

Experiential Approach
The seminar is mostly experiential in nature enabling us to relate and apply the different themes and perspectives to our own everyday lives. It will include guided inner journeys, artistic activity, songs and group sharing. Participants may wish to keep a journal.

Who is the seminar for?
For those who wish to take a journey of self-discovery and also may be of interest as CPD (Continuing Personal Development) for complementary health practitioners, psychotherapists, teachers, etc., who wish to bring these perspectives to their work.
Although gentle and non-invasive in approach, the seminar does require a commitment to a process of self-reflection that may not be appropriate in time of trauma or crisis.

Themes will include
• Psychology and spirituality
• Integrating spiritual practice and psychological insight
• Mapping human consciousness
• Dreams images and symbols (the language of the unconscious)                                                                                          • Meditation in modern life
• The inner theatre (the many roles we play)
• The inner child in adult life
• Relationship, empathy and karma
• The shadow
• Polarity and the soul (seeking dynamic balance)
• The inner masculine and feminine
• Illness and healing
• The development of the compassionate observer
• Heart thinking and the Higher Ego
