About the course

The EMM-Tech Shourt Course teaches participants how to quickly and effectively release theoir own muscle tensions or help others release theirs.  All training is closely supervised and is open to everyone.  It requires no previous bodywork experience.  However, it is also a valuable and effective tool for personal trainers, sports coaches, Pilates and yoga instructors, riders and handlers and also for professionals and therapists in the health care field.

Brief History

Established in 2004, the EMM-Tech Short Course was derived from the EMMETT Technique Practitioner Course.  The moves were designed as a 'first aid kit' of muscle releases for people in remote areas of Australia.  EMM-Tech classes are now taught in more than 20 countries worldwide.

Getting there:

Maitri Studio is close to Translink Metro bus lines 4, 5 & 6, with stops close by (ask for The Mount Conference Centre).  Maitri Studiois just a 10 minute walk from Central Station.

The Mount is an A shaped road at the junction of Castlereagh Street, Albertbridge Road and Mountpottinger Road.  Maitri Studio is on a short, one-way part of the Mount that you can drive onto from the Albertbridge Road.  You can also come into the Mount from Castlereagh Street. 

It is a mixed residential and business area, with free parking available on the street. There are also free parking bays outside the shops on Castlereagh Street.

The studio is located on the First Floor at 4 The Mount.  The building is red brick with blue railings and has “Bank House” written in white letters at the front.  The entrance is to the right side of the building and is clearly signed.

Please be aware that the venue is not “The Mount” Conference Centre (a cream coloured building to the right of Maitri Studios).
