My Experience

I have been teaching mindfulness professionally in Belfast from 2009 studying and practicing it internationally since 2003.

I spent 4 years training (part-time) to teach mindfulness based stress reduction (MBSR) programme at Bangor University in Wales, I am the only person in Northern Ireland to have a Masters (MSc) in Mindfulnes based approaches.

I follow the UK good practice guidelines for teaching mindfulness which outlines a high standard of ethics in mindfulness teaching  including engagement in regular supervision, a commitment to on-going personal practice and attendance on retreats.
I can put you in touch with a number of my MBSR graduates if you want personal feedback on my classes and teaching style.


I'm also qualified yoga teacher (2005) with the Yoga Fellowship of Northern Ireland, a Reiki Master and an all round lover of the slow down movement.


I am a proud member of Thich Nhat Hanh's Order of Interbeing with the dharma name: True Profound Happiness. I have studied extensively with the international Plum Village mindfulness community since 2005.


I am also Centra's Mindfulfulness Ambassador and an associate trainer for the HSC. I got married in September 2017 and added Kaya to my surname to honour my lovely new husband.


I have an MBA and a BSc in Communications, Advertising and Marketing.


My personal motto is "There's no need to run, strive or struggle: just be.'
