"To always seek the least toxic way to accomplish the misson of treatment and to do it while treading as softly as possible on the patient's biological terrain"
IAOMT www.iaomt.org
Many of us recognise the impact that toxic materials may have on our general health, for this reason it is my concern that the materials that I use in my dental practice are compatible with your body.
As a result I am one of only a handful of Mercury-free Holistic Dentists in Ireland. I'm grateful that many people travel from Ireland, England and abroad to experience my holistic care. In many cases I carefully change people's Mercury, Amalgam fillings for a more compatible option.
I offer CEREC in all ceramic restorations as an alternative to composite or oncemer where appropriate and use Zirconia all ceramic crowns and bridges always striving to use materials and techniques which are the least toxic to the body.
I avoid the use of adrenaline containing local anaesthetic
The dentistry that I provide takes into account the whole of the person; I combines the conventional with the alternative to achieve a truly holistic approach to dental care.
Homeopathy is a natural healthcare system that works with your own body's recovery system. Using ingredients derived from nature, it treats the person rather than the disease.
I include Homeopathy routinely in my dental surgery to add to your experience of Holistic Dentistry.
Reiki is an energy healing modality which originated in Japan.
Jikiden Reiki is pure, simple and effective.
Practitioners help release blocked energy and aid in the natural intrinsic healing ability within your own body.
I offer Jikiden Reiki during dental treatment to help ease anxious patients into a state of relaxation and comfort.
I teach Jikiden Reiki to all interested in learning to take care of their own health in a more positive way.
Looking at what we eat and put into our bodies every day is one of the most important aspects of taking care of our health holistically as we literally are what we eat.
Modern dentistry today is looking at the link of having a healthy balance of the key nutrients in our diet with the prevention of gum disease and tooth decay and the links this can have with both heart disease and diabetes.
I have a particular interest in and advise on the use of organic foods and the importance of whole foods and key essential fats in your diet.
Eating the right foods leads to a healthier life style, sustaining us in body, mind and spirit.
Modern research has shown that acupuncture has a general beneficial effect on health and proven benefits in reducing pain and stress.
Acupuncture uses very fine needles carefully inserted in key locations known as acupuncture points. These are located on "meridians" or energy channels which surround the body.
There is also an Acupuncture meridian relationship connecting your teeth with all your body organs and systems, showing yet again the benefit in treating you holistically.
