Yoga for Chronic Pain classes with Deirdre on Wednesday evenings

Yoga for Chronic Pain classes - continues over Easter and into the new summer term

A unique Yoga class designed to support those living with persistent/chronic physical health symptoms such as :-

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Foot pain
  • Facial pain
  • Abdo pelvic pain
  • Tendonitis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Sciatica
  • Tension headaches
  • Migraines
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Fatigue
  • Brain fog

What to expect?

Deirdre creates a warm supportive environment with an invitation to connect to your own nervous system through building awareness of body, brain breath, brain & gut sensations. 

It is aimed at beginners or anyone struggling to find a suitable class to support their health & well being

Props such as belts, blocks and blankets may be used as well as the option to use a chair if unable to get on/off the floor

Just come in loose clothing. Don't eat for at least 1 hour before the class.

  • Drop in £12 per class or block 8 weeks for £80
  • Payment can be made by BACS transfer, please ask for details

About Deirdre

Deirdre qualified as a Yoga teacher in 1999 and has taught and practiced for over 25 years. Deirdre has undergone continuing professional education by undertaking certified courses in Yoga for trauma, Yoga and Applied polyvagal theory and chair-based yoga.

 Deirdre has worked in the NHS as a clinical specialist in chronic pain & taught yoga to her clients as part of their rehab & recovery. She has also brought Yoga into unconventional settings such as in patient wards and medium secure facilities. Deirdre is passionate to promote hope and recovery from persistent physical health symptoms by treating the person as a whole with mind, body & environment deeply connected.
