Ayurveda is an ancient science that literally means the knowledge of life.
The beauty of Ayurveda is at its very core it gifts us with the ability to care for ourselves and ultimately heal ourselves. It is a science that works for every individual as it sees you as just that, an individual that is wholly unique and therefore any health issues are wholly unique to you.
Many of today’s healing modality came out of Ayurveda – herbalism, aromatherapy, massage therapy, nutrition, yoga as therapy, meditation, pranayama and so much more. It’s an in-depth and complex science but with some smart and grounded knowledge, it’s easy to incorporate Ayurveda into your life and home for a happier healthier you.
In this 30hr training, you will be introduced to the Ayurvedic principals of maintaining balance, understanding the doshas and how to recognise an imbalance. We will then look at how we can use this understanding to guide your approach to yoga, nutrition and diet, meditation and pranayama, cleansing practices and lifestyle choices.
You can expect our days together to be broken up into in-depth theory to give you a basic but grounded understanding of Ayurveda, the three doshas and the main principles of Ayurveda and then delving into how a physical practice can support balance in line with an Ayurvedic approach.
