This Conscious Movement workshop will be exploring the “bottom-up” systematic approach to trauma in the brain & body, helping you gain understanding in how movement can support and “re-train” the brain and body in gently reshaping patterns held in the nervous system.
Through education, guided embodied movement, and heart warming soup & sourdough to end, we’ll learn, move, and reconnect together.
Conscious Movement sits at the intersection of movement, nervous system education, and mental health. I draw on my five years working in mental health and experiential therapies in Colorado, alongside research such as The Body Keeps the Score, which highlights how trauma is held in the brain and body and why body-based, “bottom-up” approaches in the brain can support healing.
This half-day workshop introduces how intentional movement can help gently retrain the nervous system and brain.
We’ll also spend time reshaping the patterns held in the body through stress and trauma. Blending accessible education, guided Conscious Movement, and a community element of heart warming soup and sourdough, this event creates space to learn, experience regulation in real time, and connect with like-minded individuals.
Participants will leave with practical tools, deeper understanding, full bellies and an embodied sense of support they can return to in everyday life.
